PLACE SETTING

Help your guests find their seat with spook-tacular place cards! These wooden ghost ornaments come in a pack of 5 and are available at Dollar Tree, where they also have other fun Halloween silhouettes to choose from. Use acrylic paint to help incorporate them into your color scheme. The great thing about these ornaments are that they have multiple functions: Place Card, Napkin Holder and finally Wine Charm! Just simply direct your guests to tie them to their glasses after untying them from their napkins. These plastic champagne flutes are a HomeGoods find and I highly recommend them should you ever come across a set!

Buffalo check is one of those patterns that complements ever season but I find it particularly perfect for Halloween! Consequently, I was thrilled when I found this set of napkins and this table runner on Amazon! The bold lines adds a nice contrast to the soft, playful pastels we’re using in this tablescape! If buffalo check isn’t your jam, try incorporating another fun and contrasting pattern. If ever there was an occasion to use black cutlery, Halloween is it and I love how it ties into the buffalo check!

Normally when I use cool colors like black and grey, silver wold be the natural accent of choice but I wanted to turn up the heat and glitz by incorporating some gold! My rule of thumb whenever using a table runner, use chargers rather than placemats and these gold chargers are from Dollar Tree!

CENTERPIECE

Centerpieces are a great opportunity to tie the individual elements and colors of your theme together! This wooden haunted house silhouette is also a Dollar Tree find, which I painted black and hot glued some of my painted ghosts to. Since the ghosts are meant to be hanging ornaments, I used pearl stickers from Amazon to cover the pre-drilled holes. In regards to the ghost decor that would be sufficient for a round or square table but since I have a large, rectangular table, I couldn’t resist adding these 2 large ghost silhouettes to either side of my centerpiece! If you’ve got the space it, haunt it, right?!

Pumpkins work perfectly for filling in the visual gaps within your centerpiece! If you can’t find the color you’re looking for, buy some white pumpkins in bulk from Amazon and paint them like I did! Other than the orange and pink pumpkins, I incorporated black, white and grey pumpkins from Bullseye’s Playground at Target and mixed them with some black & white ceramic pumpkins from Dollar Tree!

Candles on the table are a staple in my house but if they’re not in yours, they really add atmosphere to a Halloween tablescape! These pink candles are from Amazon and are available in an array of colors! You could use gold candlesticks but I enjoy how these silver candlesticks from Ikea sort of disappear into the buffalo check table runner. Finally, I weaved gold glitter tulle ribbon throughout my centerpiece to emulate magical fog and tie everything together visually.
