Follow the directions listed on the Candy Melts packaging to melt your Blue Chocolate Candy Melts until smooth. Lay out a sheet of Wax Paper on a cookie sheet or hard surface. Then using a spatula, apply the blue chocolate to your pretzel rods and lay them on the Wax Paper to set.

STEP 2

Follow the directions listed on the Candy Melts packaging to melt 75% of your White Chocolate Candy Melts (we will need to use that other 25% later) then scoop the melted white chocolate into a Pastry Bag or Ziplock Bag. Lay out another piece of wax paper and pipe the melted white chocolate into star-like shapes and allow time to set. These shapes are meant to mimic sparkler flares so have fun with them as they’re not meant to look perfect. However, bear in mind that thicker strokes are best to prevent the stars from falling apart when we place them onto our pretzel rods later.

Once your white chocolate “sparkles” are set, melt the remaining 25% of your White Chocolate Candy Melts. Use a dab of the melted white chocolate to attach a chocolate “sparkle” to the end of each chocolate covered Pretzel Rod.

Cut a Treat Bag in half and discard the top half. Then place a completed chocolate sparkler into the bag and wrap the excess around it, finally securing it closed with a piece of Scotch Tape. Then take a Wooden BBQ Skewer and secure it to the back of the chocolate sparkler with a piece of Scotch Tape at the top and bottom of the plastic-covered portion.

To display my sweet chocolate sparklers, I used white marble accent stones in a tin utensil holder, which I decorated with a patriotic bow.
